Abstract
Tendinopathy is the term of choice to designate chronic pain symptoms in a sensitive and painful tendon area. This condition can be very disabling and evolve over several months. Clinical cure often leaves a vulnerable tendon susceptible to relapses. Physical therapy of mechanical tendinopathies is approached from two different perspectives in respect of length of time elapsed; acute and chronic tendinitis. The kinesic evaluation is essential for the implementation of the therapeutic program; so as to check the location of the lesion, clinical grade, mechanical cause and the intrinsic or extrinsic predisposing factors in order to determine the goals and treatment protocols. The analysis includes the theoretical basis and the technical aspects of the physical therapy program that is currently underway, including the use of physical agents, massage, stretching and exercise program; the latter being considered as the basis of rehabilitation; not only in the therapeutic treatment but also preventive. Among active exercises, eccentric exercises are considered a particularly beneficial tool in physical therapy.References
