Resumen

La artritis reumatoide (AR) y el lupus eritematoso sistémico (LES) son enfermedades reumáticas que requieren un manejo adecuado. Esto ha sido posible en las últimas décadas a través de tratamientos con agentes biológicos y los inmunomoduladores. Sin embargo, estas enfermedades son crónicas, por lo que persisten síntomas como dolor, fatiga y rigidez articular. Sumados a los efectos secundarios de la farmacoterapia, han suscitado un mayor interés por utilizar terapias complementarias como parte de un enfoque integral.
